How many poses does a male model have?

Being in LA I have met quite a few male ‘modules’. Some fit the stereo type…others are very far from it.

Here is a male model teaching the 10 poses that male models have (yes they are much more limited than that of female models or so I’m told….)

We’ve seen models do it all: act, launch perfume lines, clothing lines, become singers… oh, and model! And now, ex-model Nikki Phillips has launched her own jewelry line – that is, Dejoie.

Kelly Smythe, a.k.a. Australia’s premiere stylist is a woman to watch. Establishing herself as a successful stylist and image creater for the corporate and celebrity worlds, Smythe has been able to attract some of the biggest names in Australian business. Her A list clientele includes the fabulous Jennifer Hawkins, Megan Gale, Delta Goodrem and Kate Ritchie. Her work has also been seen on the likes of international superstars during visits to Australia, including Kelly Rowland and Eva Longoria – giving her the name of “network stylist”.

According to a story titled “The Female Breadwinner”, a piece of research published this week in the Daily Mail, career women feel very guilty about not being a good wife. Apparently alpha females are scared to relinquish dominance of the domestic sphere, according to Dr Meisenbach, and therefore feel inadequate when they quit wifely duties in order to power up the career ladder.

While I often feel a little like I’m neglecting my domestic duties myself, perhaps we shouldn’t be so hard on ourselves. Perhaps we should give up the fact that we are not superwomen (well at least not all the time, maybe just in the bedroom), give-up that we don’t have to do every single chore around the house.

Keep it up big guy

Maybe we should give up on the fact that domestic bliss is not possible without the help of the ‘whole’ household, and yes that means your lazy boyfriend who thinks that the vaccum is some high teched-up jet pack from the Jetsens …
