THE OVER EXPOSED black and white party was hosted by The Loft and Hobogestapo.

All things black and white party, people and pop culture came together this Thursday at The Loft in Sydney.

The Hobogestapo photographers (www.hobogestapo.com ) exhibited a collection of their photos in a pop up gallery at the loft, where you could purchase images on the night.

Live performances from THE PIANO MAN & BACKHANDERZ (UK) Live got the party started…

The event was supported by Smirnoff Black & Johnnie Walker Black.

The photos were pretty cool. I was expecting a little bit more photos.. there weren’t that many on display. The over exposed ‘look’ of the photos gave me some inspiration for my budding photography hobby.

All in all it was a great night…I stole a Gold Jacket…and yes I gave it back…and I danced like I have never danced before…

Ania on a Chris Craft Boat

Yesterday I did some presenting for Premier Marine at the International Boatshow in Darling Harbour.

Premier Marine are one of the most respected dealers of luxury boats in Sydney.

Their Regal and Chris Craft models are so beautifully made and designed…it makes you want to change your lifestyle to include one of these in your everyday (or at least weekend) routine.

As you sit in one…you can imagine yourself as a James Bond girl…wizzing  through the harbour…looking back at the Russians who were about to capture you…you look ahead as your manoeuvering yourself through the waves…and there he is …James Bond (in all his glory) standing on a bridge just ahead of you. You keep steering your way towards the bridge….water flying through the air…you look up…and in one smooth moment…the sexy bond…leaps right onto to the boat you were trying to control. He looks at you with that look in his eye…”good work driving the Criss Craft darling….Martini time?” and you drive off into the sunset in search of one of those five-star hotels with beautiful rich people who have a glamorous lifestyle and not a care in the world.

See if I only had a boat….all my fantasies would come true!

'In the Heights' musical

The ‘In the Heights’ musical on Broadway was a great experience.

After many ‘actor’ and ‘industry’ friends recommended the show to me I made time to go and see it on broadway.

Corbin Bleu (of Highschool musical fame) played the lead…and yes I have a new crush on the guy.

“The story explores three days in the characters’ lives in the New York City Dominican-American neighborhood of Washington Heights. The score features hip-hop, salsa, merengue and soul music. The musical’s 2008 Broadway production was nominated for thirteen Tony Awards and won the Tony Award for Best Musical at the 62nd Tony Awards.”

Holly Madison in Peep Show

We went and watched Holly Madison’s Vegas show called ‘Peep Show’.

I know I know…I should have seen something like Cirque du Soleil…(it was sold out) so we wanted a ‘trsahy Vegas experience’ and that is exactly what we got with this show.

Holly Madison (and no I didn’t watch that girls of the playboy mansion show) stars (if you can call it that) as a sexually frustrated, young, innocent girl who learns about her sexual power through nursery rhymes…yes yes…through songs about little red riding hood, the three little pigs…and any other nursery rhymes you can remember.

Holly does very little throughout the show…and at the end…takes her clothes off…but isn’t that the sole reason most people bought a ticket…believe me it wasn’t her acting or dancing skills.

It was entertaining and it made me want to go to the gym to get the bodies of her amazing dancers…but besides the motivation to tone up…it was pretty lousy…not really really lousy…but just ok.

I think Holly should stick to what she does best….

For my birthday my girlfriends took me to Katana (a Japanese restaurant) and Tuesdale ( a night club for celebrities)

I shared my birthday with Adrian from the tv show Entourage…a bit strange I know..

Katana is a very hard place to get a table and Tuesdale is also a very hard place to get into…but we were with Adrian so nothing was a problem…I wish I was a celebrity…they get treated like royalty…everyone is their ‘friend’.

Katana…had the most amazing food and the service was so good I felt like a princess.

We had a driver that took us to the night club Tuesdale. We were in the very VIP room…were Leonardo hangs out…or so I’m told.

At th nightclub I met Kristen from Twilight…I didn’t recognise her and was giving her advice about how to get her friends in the VIP room..me giving her advice…?? she must have thought I was out of my mind..as I’m so well connected…no really…I am…NOT…she was lovely and told me she just got in from NY and was a bit tired.

All I can say about the night is that I have a rather large headache today : )

The Video I made about the Party…

Last night we went to a Mansion Party in the Hollywood Hills.

It was this crazy house with a million rooms, a cinema, tennis courts, basketball courts, a disco, bars, swimming pools and one of the best views of LA.

Hundreds of people gathered to indulge in a party that could only really happen in LA.

Think of those American parties you see in the movies…guys dressed up like P Diddy…with chains hanging from their necks…girls in bikinis drinking cocktails and hanging by the pool…millionaires braging about their ’riches’ and girls falling for them…people pretending they are someone else for the night…and then us Aussies who were just a tad overwhelmed…

Whatever you imagined about the ‘lifestyle’ of these LA kids…you would probably be right.

There were moments were I was shocked…there were moments I couldn’t believe what I was seeing…there were moments that made me cringe and everything in between.

Did I have FUN???

I sure did!

It was a promo party for a brand.

The whole place was a giant warehouse filled with random bits and pieces….bikes on the roof…giant screens…posters…couches…broken toilets…milk crates…and random things like that.

There was free food (pizza, hotdogs, meat pies) and the drinks were cocktails and beer in paper bags.

The DJ booth was set up so high it had to be reached with a crane.

The old school music was fantastic…and everyone was enjoying:

a. the fact that everything thing was free

b. that you could get a free pair of personalised sneakers painted for you.

We sat in the VIP tent which had…wine overflowing and the most amazing fresh Greek food served throughout the day.

I met the owner of ‘The Coffee Club’, John Lazarou what a gentleman, Effie and a whole bunch of other people.

My best friend was hosting ‘Fashions on the Field’. The guest judges were Jessica  Marais, James Stewart and Mark Wilson.

Jessica and her boyfriend were lovely, and she is stunning. Although she was wearing a fasinator that was worth $6000. I’m not sure why it was worth so much…but cheers to the designer who lent her the piece.

Channel 7 had their own private box, so that’s where we went to watch the races. Here is a view from our box :

We had a driver for the weekend…so that was fun. Mark Wilson promised to hook me up with a good Zumba teacher in Sydney…will see how that will go!
