I have been getting massage’s for as long as I can remember.

I have travelled to Thailand 8 times…which made me very fond of having a massage everyday. They cost $10 in Thailand so I would usually have two a day.

Back here in Sydney it’s a costly exercise that can leave you with a big hole in your pocket…so this life luxury is exercised once a month.

The other aspect of getting a good massage is finding the ‘perfect’ masseuse. I have had some shocking experiences in some of Sydney’s top day spas…and all you can think about during the massage is not…balmy sunsets on tropical islands…but ‘Holy Smokes…I’m paying HOW much for this?”…I needed to go to the toilet during one of these highly costly massages and the therapist said that I would have to forfeit the rest of my massage…(I still had 20 minutes to go!)

So…I would like to introduce you to Jeevi Ramtel from Aus Fitness Massage…he is now my personal masseuse. He travels to your house, sets up his table and puts soothing music or chanting (depending on your preferences.)

Ania interviewing DJ Playmate

Yesterday I did some presenting for the Allure Events Launch.

The launch was held at IVY Pool Club.

There was a fashion parade by Lisa Kelly Swimwear, 7 Pers and Danyelle shoes.

DJ Playmate and Keli Hart rocked it out on the decks…I even had a go DJing but realised that is not where my talents lie!

I’m still waiting for the edited footage…but as soon as I get it I will post it up!

THE OVER EXPOSED black and white party was hosted by The Loft and Hobogestapo.

All things black and white party, people and pop culture came together this Thursday at The Loft in Sydney.

The Hobogestapo photographers (www.hobogestapo.com ) exhibited a collection of their photos in a pop up gallery at the loft, where you could purchase images on the night.

Live performances from THE PIANO MAN & BACKHANDERZ (UK) Live got the party started…

The event was supported by Smirnoff Black & Johnnie Walker Black.

The photos were pretty cool. I was expecting a little bit more photos.. there weren’t that many on display. The over exposed ‘look’ of the photos gave me some inspiration for my budding photography hobby.

All in all it was a great night…I stole a Gold Jacket…and yes I gave it back…and I danced like I have never danced before…

Maggie Mayhem....

Do you ever feel like you put on a character for different situations in your life?

Maggie Mayhem is my new-found persona…that flourishes during the night.

It’s a funny concept really, by day your one person and by night you turn into someone completely different.

I used to do these little social experiments a few years back…depending on my mood for that day…I would dress and act in a particular way.

On Monday: I would be my ‘hippy’ self. I would pull out my tree of life clothing…those long gypsy skirts and angel tops…put plaits in my hair…and sit reading a novel. When I was this person…I would attract similar people…and yes I have a few Hare Krishna friends…that loved the fact I lived in India…and studied with the Dalai Lama.

On Tuesday: I would put on my baggy jeans, sneakers and a cap. I was ‘Tom Boy’ Ania…who went to an Agricultural highschool and knew how to sheer sheep and who owned a motorcycle licence.

On Wednesday: I would wear a power suit..and walk like I owned the place…this was the persona I put on when I was doing Film publicity. I needed to get stuff done…NOW…

On Thursday: I would be the uni geek with glasses, my cardigan and no make up…This was the Ania that was studying political science at university…the Ania that spoke of history, philosophy and art…who spent most of her time volunteering.

On Friday: I would wear something funky and arty…and that would usually mean I was going to some art exhibition or play. This Ania came from her acting backround…those ‘arty’ types are one of a kind.

On Saturday: I would be fashionable…like one of those Eastern Suburbs kids…because yes like them I frequented bars and went to trendy cafes.

And on Sunday…well I just wore my tracksuits…working out who I wanted to be next week…

I loved playing dress up…because people couldn’t stereo type you…one minute you would be a wall flower…the next some extroverted attention seeker.

I realised the character I have created in the past few weeks…I call her ‘Maggie Mayhem’…The party persona…

Now how do you explain to your childhood friends or ex boyfriends…my social experiment?

I’m an actor…and truthfully no one will ever know who I actually am…ok maybe a handful of people…but even they don’t know which ‘character’ they will be hanging out with that day!

my 'Magic Book'

I have a book called ‘The Magic Book’. It’s basically a diary that has one page for each day.

At the top of the page I write “Something wonderful will happen today.”

Then below I write the day plan as if it already happened.

An example:

I have a successful work meeting and I am confident and in control.

I worked out to my full capabilities and pushed myself to the max during kickboxing.

My presentation for university is written to a high distinction level.

You can write whatever you want. Make sure you keep it safe so you don’t feel like someone will read it (as this will alter what you write.)

Since I started my ‘magic book’ so much of what I write in that has eventuated.

The principles behind my idea are that of ‘The Secret’ and many other books.

If it doesn’t manifest straight away…it usually does so eventually.

If you don’t believe in it…atleast you will have a place to write out your to do list for the day!

Elixr. My new Gym.

I joined the gym today. Elixr has three gyms in Sydney that specialize in Pilates and Yoga.

They also offer other classes such as kickboxing (which I have already started) swimming technique and meditation.

The club is different to other gyms such as fitness first. It has more of a boutique feel to it.

I’m going through a blog I wrote 2 years ago. Sitting back and reading my thoughts…thinking about how I have progressed as a person. Have I progressed or taken a step back? I’m not sure…

If we don’t change what we do daily how can we get a different result?

Routine makes us live like we are in a haze…we get up, go to work, drink on the weekend…and then do it all again next week…

So today’s challenge…is to do something different.

Start with baby steps…try a new hobby…go to a different bar… or try a new restaurant…

Then progress into bigger steps…change jobs or even move to another country!

Change your routine!
